Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portuguese soccer superstar, just launched his fourth NFT collection in collaboration with Binance.
This collection will be featured on Binance NFT Marketplace on May 29 and will celebrate his career history and highlights.
“My football journey has taken me around the world and I have been honored to play for some of the most prestigious clubs working today. Now it’s your turn to join me on that journey too.”
The number of NFTs in Cristiano Ronaldo’s new collection will not be revealed until launch, and pricing has not yet been announced. The price will be the same for every “common NFT”, but the “Ultra Rare NFT” will have a different price.
Previously, Ronaldo’s NFT events have included non-digital perks, like the experience of playing soccer with Ronaldo in a Binance promotion.
Previously, Cristiano Ronaldo was sued for promoting Binance on November 27, 2023, the plaintiffs in the lawsuit asserted that Ronaldo “promoted, supported and/or actively participated in the offering and sale of unregistered securities signed coordination with Binance” and he should have known that Binance was involved in those activities.
The case against Cristiano Renaldo stems from Binance’s previous legal problems which culminated in the conviction of founder Changpeng “CZ” Zhao in the US for facilitating fraud. He was sentenced in April 2024 to four months of detention for participating in an alleged money laundering scheme.
